Adobe Illustrator ⋮ 2025
This was created entirely with vector shapes in Illustrator. I wanted to display the complexity that goes in to such a commonly used instrument in the medical field.
I attempted to capture the different parts of it (needle and catheter) both combined and separate to demonstrate how it works overall. As a kid, I was really afraid of needles, and I think that a better understanding of the ones used for IVs would have helped ease that fear for me, and so I hope it can for others too.
